The museum is proud to exhibit the "Farmington River Quilt Project," a 50-foot long quilt in 25 sections, depicting locations along the "Wild and Scenic"-designated portion of the Farmington River. Under the guidance of Winchester Center quilter MaryPat Leger, 24 quilters independently created 25 21"-high by 24"-wide quilted sections, producing a panorama of the Farmington River from the Goodwin Dam in Colebrook to the Rainbow City Pool in Canton. This tour de force project was supported by a grant and site information from the Farmington River Coordinating Committee. Bring a young person along to try the Farmington River Quilt scavenger hunt!
