 Ending Time: 4:00:00 PM

"Historic House Stories: The Death of the Smith Boys, 1729" is a special tour of the ca. 1720 historic house that tells the story of the Smith family in April 1729. During that time, Thomas and Mary Smith, occupants of the house, lost their two sons, ages 3 and 4, during an epidemic. The Hall Kitchen of the house is arranged to show the mourning traditions that the young couple would have followed after their children's deaths. Visitors will also have acccess to additional background about customs of this early period, researched by Curator Kristen Wands.
