Program registration is processed on a first come first served basis. You may register by phone, (860) 677-9222, in person, by mail or online. Payment options are credit card, check, or cash. Your membership must be current at the time the program meets in order to receive the member discount. Museum staff reserves the right to cancel classes for insufficient enrollment. You will be notified at least three working days in advance if a program is cancelled. Cancellations with at least forty-eight hours notice will receive a refund.

Tea with Abigail Adams FILLED

The year is 1801 and you have been invited to tea with Abigail Adams, who will share stories of her early life and her experiences as the wife of the second President of the United States. Join her in the historic Whitman Tavern and enjoy a cup of tea and a cookie while you listen to to this remarkable woman and witness to history.

Carol Bielefeld, educator and historian, will portray Mrs. Adams in all her independence, intelligence and wit in this special program.



Admission for this program is $8 a person. Registration is required to secure a seat. Walk-ins will be accommodated if there are any open seats.
