Stanley-Whitman House is a living history center situated on a tranquil 1 1/4-acre setting in the heart of historic Farmington village. Located on an attractive residential street of 18th- and early 19th-century houses, the facility features a generous garden area surrounded by apple trees. Rental spaces are part of a 2004 addition to the museum. The facility is perfect for small weddings, receptions, meetings, and workshops.

Whitman Tavern Room
This 18th century period room features a reproduction hearth and fireplace, oak flooring and a wrought iron candle chandelier. The room opens into a modern galley kitchen with refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and sink. The room provides a unique setting for a special dinner party, birthday celebration or business anniversary. Capacity: seated 25; standing 30. Cost: $250 - 300/hr.
A room that combines a period feel with a contemporary twist. An exposed post and beam frame, brick floor, and spectacular windows give the room a gracious feel. Doors lead to a quaint Colonial garden, into an exhibit gallery and out to the front courtyard. These areas lend themselves nicely to strolling and chatting with friends and co-workers. Capacity: 25 people standing. Cost: $150 - 200/hr.
Modern in appearance, this airy spacious room features a soaring arched window that frames the garden outside. French doors close off the room from the Welcome Center for more privacy. A separate door leads directly to restrooms, and another leads into the garden. The room is equipped with data ports and is ideal for business meetings and training workshops. Capacity: 30 with tables, 40 with seating only, and standing room for 50. Cost: $250 - 300/hr.
The museum's historic dooryard garden provides additional gathering space in warm weather. Raised beds holding colorful period herbs, vegetables and flowering plants surround a grassy central courtyard circled on three sides by heritage stone walls and an apple orchard. This space is available in the late spring, summer and fall. Capacity: standing room for 30. Cost: $250 - 300/hr.

Costumed Greeter: Make your event extra special with a greeter dressed in Colonial garb - $40.00 per hour. Insurance: All rentals require a copy of a certificate of liability insurance for $500,000.
